Terrance James Mahoney

Terrance "Terry" James Mahoney, 65, of Davenport, formerly of Tipton, died of an apparent heart attack on Saturday morning in Mercy Hospital, Iowa City. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 11:00 am, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton followed by cremation. Military rites will be performed at the funeral home by the Tipton VFW, Post 2537. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 at Fry Funeral Home. Burial will be private in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A memorial will be established. Terry was born October 5, 1946 in Iowa City, Iowa and was the son of Francis Timothy and Mary Rose Novy Mahoney. He graduated from the Tipton High School in 1965 and served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Terry was married to Sherry Lyle and became the father of their daughter, Melissa. Terry loved to fish, golf and always had a positive outlook. Terry greatest joy was spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's functions. Terry recently worked as a routing supervisor for Hawkeye Foodservice in Coralville, Iowa.
