since 1976. He was a member of the Muscatine Rotary Club, the Elks, the Moose and the American Legion. He owned and operated Lupton and Toyne Printers for 40 years. He also enjoyed playing clarinet and saxophone in Dixieland bands for 48 years. Lyle especially loved supporting his grandchildren in their activities and special events and camping with his family every summer, going all over the country. Lyle will be deeply missed by his wife, Mildred Lupton of Muscatine; daughters, Linda K. Ford and husband, Allen, of Wilton, and Nancy Crews Ellinger and husband, John, of DeWitt; four grandchildren, Christina Beavers and husband, Brian, Janelle Sneddon and husband, Jared, Angela Horton and husband, Matt, and Michael Crews; seven great-granddaughters, Brielle and Avery Beavers, Brooklyn Horton, Sophia, Aubrey, Jillian and Hailey Sneddon; and his brother-in-law, Donald Schmidt. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Delbert Crews; and one sister, Lois Schmidt.
