LaRue Prather Baedaro DES MOINES, Iowa-- LaRue Prather Baedaro, 86, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2012. Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Merle Hay Funeral Home, 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines. Memorial Visitation will be from 4:30- 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, with a Rosary to follow at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Taylor Hospice House or St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Jo was born on February 9, 1926, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Ernest and Hazel Hoyt Prather. She was married to Delbert Nicholson whom she had three children with, and then Harry Baedaro, whom she had two children with. Her pastimes included sewing, cooking and spending time with her dog, Nikki. Jo will be missed by her children, Michael Nicholson, Patrick (Jewel) Nicholson, Debra Finn, Deanna (Troy) Baedaro-Bianchi, and Donald (Lory) Baedaro; grandchildren, Frank Cardamon, Joe Finn, Rob, Tom, Patrick and Bryon Nicholson, Jessica Baedaro, Tracie, Megan and Erin Schultz; step-grandchildren, Jessica, Kelsey, Mackenzi and Tristyn; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Alexa; and a sister, Bea Knott.
