Robert R. Vance MUSCATINE, Iowa --Robert R. Vance, 86, of Sun City West, Arizona, died on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at the Hospice of Arizona DWIPU in Sun City West, Arizona. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Casket bearers are Robert Saffell, William Hedal, Craig Hedal, Jeff Madsen, Eric Lausen and Bill Hedal. Burial will be in the Peniel Cemetery in New Boston, Illinois. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012, at the funeral home, with Masonic Rites at 7 p.m. Robert was born on February 25, 1925, in New Boston, Illinois, the son of Frank "Roy" and Ethel Braucht Vance. He married Willie Mae Herron on September 28, 1945, in Muscatine. He was a long time member of the Masonic Order. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, boating and music, and loved to spend time with his family.
