Marilyn J. Drake IOWA CITY, Iowa--Marilyn Joan Drake, 80, of Moscow, passed away on February 12, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospital. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Grace Lutheran Church. Pastors Gary MacManus and Don Sondrol will officiate the service. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held back at the church. Visitation will be from 4 to -7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church in Marilyn's name. Marilyn was born on July 17, 1931, in Muscatine, the daughter of Byron and Martha Rutka Massey. She was united in marriage to Rodney Drake on April 10, 1953, in Muscatine. Marilyn had worked as a teacher at Jefferson School for 18 years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, painting, reading and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
