Daniel "Duddy" Sperling passed away February 9, 2012, in the loving care of his family who adored him and whom he adored. He was born in New York City on September 17, 1925, and enjoyed life-long friendships with his friends from the Bronx. He enjoyed 63 years of love with his wife Phyllis. He provided for and was so proud of his family: his beloved daughter Denise Sperling and his grandchildren Natalie, Rebecca, and Jacob; and his son beloved Richard and Richard's wife Anne and grandson Max. Duddy was an entrepreneur and CEO of Consumer Credit Clearance, the first credit reporting agency in Los Angeles. He sold '3 C's' to Howard Hughes, bought it back and sold it again, and retired in 1969 to enjoy his friends and family. He also was an owner of Priority Travel, through which he and Phyllis enjoyed travel and adventure, and he was an owner of Lord's Beauty Salon, through which he gained an additional loving family. Duddy loved life; including animals, dining, baseball, music, delcos, and good coffee. Memorial service Sunday at noon at Mt. Sinai Hollywood Hills. Donations in his memory may be made to the Lymphoma Society.
