Joyce A. "Tookie" Puckett ILLINOIS CITY, Illinois -- Joyce A. "Tookie" Puckett, 53, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2012, in Illinois City, Illinois. Cremation rites were facilitated by the Family Care Services Life Transition and Cremation Center in Muscatine, Iowa. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Joyce's name. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is handling the arrangements. Joyce A. Puckett was born on September 5, 1958, in Kenneth, Missouri, the daughter of John and Betty Mathis Puckett. She enjoyed gardening, growing green plants, cooking, caring for her pets and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her sister, Betty "JoAnn" Varnell and fiancé, Gary Hybridge, of Muscatine; a brother-in-law, Jay Swailes of Illinois City, Illinois; 24 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ora J. Swailes; and one niece, Misty Snow. [more]
