Edythe Schwartz

Edythe Schwartz, loving mother, sister, and grandmother, died peacefully on the Sabbath, April 30, 2011, at the age of 88. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Malvena and Max Bernath, immigrants from Hungary, she moved to California in 1954 and was preceded in death by her five brothers and sisters and her husband, Joe Schwartz. She was survived by her children, Vicki Smith (married to Don Darnutzer) and Robert Schwartz (married to Kelly), her sister Dolores Leavitt, and her granddaughter, Emma Schwartz.A beautiful and gracious woman, Edythe had a passion for the arts, travel, politics, picnics, and for entertaining in her home. She was generous with all her family and friends and touched everyone who knew her.[more]
