Frances Opal Kuhn

Frances "Opal" Kuhn, age 95, of Franklin, OH; went to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 25, 2012 at her residence. Opal was born November 26, 1916 in Richmond, KY to James and Nora Murray. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Leonard "Buck", Claude and Hugh Murray, a sister Cleo Hawthorn, 2 nephews Patrick and Mike Allen whom she and her husband helped raise from ages 5 and 6 when their mother, John's sister died. Opal is survived by her husband of 66 years John; 2 sons Danny (Wilma) Kuhn and Randy Kuhn of Corbin, KY; 2 sisters Dorothy Ruppert of Franklin, Betty Jo Haddix of Ruckersville, VA; a brother Carl Gene Murray (Darlene) of Birmingham, AL. Opal leaves behind many nieces and nephews, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many friends. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday January 30, 2012 at 10am at St Mary Church with Rev. Jim Manning celebrant. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery.
